Unaudited Annual Accounts 2020-21 available for public inspection

The Fund has published the unaudited Annual Accounts for the financial year 2020/2021 for public perusal.

The accounts provide information which can help the public assess how the Pension Fund has performed during the year and understand its position as at 31 March 2021.

Like many organisations, the Fund faced a challenging year due to the unprecedented COVID-19 outbreak, causing it to promptly adopt new ways of working. Despite this, the Fund continued to achieve key milestones:

  • Despite initial market volatility, total asset value of the Fund increased from £4,367m to £5,704m as at 31 March 2021
  • A new website and branding was launched in Summer 2020
  • The Fund completed and obtained a buy-in policy, securing liabilities for pensioner members of the NESPF’s Transport Fund
  • A long-awaited office move was completed which provides scope for hosting events and will allow growth of key teams and services.

The Report and Accounts will be available for public inspection from 28 June to 19 July 2021 both days inclusive.
