Deferred Members

Deferred members are those who no longer pay into the scheme but still have pension benefits with the Fund. This area is dedicated to deferred members and covers areas such as retirement, transfers, rejoining the scheme and death benefits.

Changes to late retirement increases

From 1 October 2019, the factors and method used to calculate the increase for late pension payment are changing. More information is available on the Late Retirement page.

Annual Benefit Statements 2019

Online Annual Benefit Statements were issued to all deferred members on 12 July via My Pension. Members should register or login to My Pension to view their statement. Alternatively if you wish for a paper copy of your statement, please contact the Pension Fund.

Retirement from 55

Now most members, regardless of when they were paying into the scheme, can take their pension from age 55. There are some Pension Credit members who cannot take their pension before age 60 but more information on the changes can be found here.
